Tell Julie, the Club Administrator, as soon as you know a player is joining or leaving your team: the club makes sure they're current on everything owed to the club and the team.

Adding a player

  1. The interested family contacts the SBV office.
  2. The 1st team coach holds a tryout, then recommends the player to an SBV team.
  3. That team's coach invites the player to a practice and accepts them if there's a roster spot.
  4. The club sends the family a welcome email with the steps to join, copying the coach, the team admin and/or the treasurer.
  5. The family registers online and pays; you meet them to collect paperwork and any team fees; they order the uniform kit.

A player leaving or moving

  • Club fees, league fees and the first two months of coaching fees aren't refundable.
  • A player who quits SBV: team fees already paid out (tournaments and so on) aren't refundable. Fees collected for upcoming events are refunded only if another player takes their place.
  • A player moving to another SBV team: refund what they paid for future events they'll miss. They pay the new team's fees, not counting events already played.
  • The two teams' admins pass the paperwork between them. Each team gets new official state rosters; turn released players' cards in to the SBV office, and SBV provides cards for added players.
