Coaches are reimbursed for out-of-town tournaments only. The team pays, and it goes in your budget.
When the team pays
- Only for tournaments more than 50 miles away. There's no per diem for local tournaments.
- If the coach has more than one team at the tournament, the teams split it equally.
What the team covers

| Hotel | The team books and pays for the coach's room. If coaches can share, the teams split the bill. |
| Within 8 hours' drive | A rental car and its gas (the suggested way), or gas for the coach's own car, or the coach rides with a family (no cost). Mileage is no longer paid. |
| More than 8 hours away | The least expensive flight, plus a rental car and gas at the airport, or a family picks the coach up (no cost). |
Paying it back
- The coach turns in receipts to the team for reimbursement.
- Keep the receipts with your team's other expenses.
